The episode of torrential rains in Dénia has given a break, although it is possible that the rainfall will repeat next week. During last Tuesday, 103 liters per square meter were accumulated in the city, according to data from AVAMET, which was accompanied by gusts of wind of more than 50 kilometers per hour and a spectacular thunderstorm.
Now, the coast again took one of the worst parts, which shows a bleak image. That the red flag has flown for days in most beaches it is indicative of what has happened again. A strong wave has hit the beaches and houses of Dénia, although no significant damage has been registered at the moment.
It has nothing to do with other historical storms such as Gloria, but certain images are vaguely reminiscent of that episode. La Marineta, for example, has not been enough to stop the sea, which has flooded the surrounding roads. In the same way, several beach entrances have been affected in Marines, and the sea has once again roared threateningly in front of Les Deveses.
