The sixth Angers-Cholet-Dénia 2022 race kicked off last Friday, February 27. In it, 10 cyclists will travel 1400 kilometers to collaborate with the regional association Condenados al Curb.
This edition will be a tribute to the cyclist Vincent Guerin, who died a year ago, who was a participant in the race in previous editions. In addition, the team of participants will be accompanied at all times by five assistants who will provide logistical support at all times.
This is the sixth edition of the sports challenge previously held in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and now in 2022. The objective of the race is to visualize and learn about the different projects carried out by Condenados al Curb, aimed at inclusion of the group of people with different abilities, as well as fundraising for its operation.
Different French associations will also receive a collaboration of this sporting feat. On this occasion, three components of Condemned to the Curb have traveled to Angers to accompany them during the first days. For this reason, the association invites all the people who feel like it to participate in the arrival and reception of the cyclists on Saturday, June 4.
The appointment will be at 11:30 in the morning at the IES Maria Ibars in Dénia. In the event there will be a retrospective photographic exhibition of the Municipal School of Adapted Sports of the Dénia City Council, which manages Condenados al Bordillo since 2010. history of the challenge
In 2010, Franck Garanger, soul of the French association Entraid 49 and the only cyclist who has been present in all the editions, became interested in the cause, so he connected and empathized with the philosophy of Condenados. The Entraid 49 association is made up of long-distance runners and is in charge of finding sponsors and organizing the race.
All its members carry out ultra-distance tests to raise funds for solidarity purposes. Their sporting and adventurous spirit and their love for the mountains drives them to carry out all kinds of charitable sporting challenges. The challenge of 24 hours of racing in nature, the GR 20 of Corsica in 4 days or the Euskal Trail 130 km are some of the challenges that the association faces.
