A group of students from Colegio Paidos from Dénia have recently traveled to England to become familiar with the use of Virtual and Augmented Reality in the classrooms. This activity is part of the European VleaRning project, which coordinates the Dianense center and also involves schools from Finland, England and Slovenia, as well as the IBI Toy Technology Institute. The objective of VleaRning, a project of the type ERASMUS + KA201 that began its journey in January of this year, is to introduce Virtual and Augmented Reality in the classrooms to achieve a meaningful and motivating teaching-learning process.

In total there were ten students of the Dianense school who were for a full week in the British town of Durham, where they came accompanied by two teachers. All of them enjoyed the 1 at the 6 in April of an enriching learning process in which they could share experiences and knowledge with students from all partner countries. During their stay students took their first steps in the use of these technologies, using various mobile applications that allow an educational use. They tested virtual reality glasses and even managed a drone that recorded images with which they could work later.

In addition, Paidos students could see the school Academy Shotton Hall, which they attended to perform different jobs and meetings. There they learned about its operation, which gave them the possibility of comparing different aspects of the English education system with Spanish. In the same way they made a presentation of both the city of Dénia and Paidos School to the teachers and students of all the European partners, who are scheduled to visit our city in November of 2020.

The students also had to make different cultural visits to see nearby cities such as Newcastle and Peterlee. One of the activities that most impressed them was the one that took them to the Beamish Museum, which recreates a city of the early twentieth century.
