Allergists in the province of Alicante gather in the Vall de Laguar to know in situ the flora

Thirty specialists in Allergology, between medical staff and nursing from various health departments in the province of Alicante have been a day in the mountains of Vall de Laguar to know in situ the native flora. The aim is to identify the properties of the local vegetation and its alergógena capacity.

The meeting, which had as its main core fieldwork outside the village of Benimaurell, has been organized by AVAIC, Valencian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology.

It is an annual meeting that travels through each of the regions of the Valencian Community. On this occasion the chosen one has been the Marina Alta, rich in mites, parietaria, grasses and olive trees.

The group has been mentored by two ethnobotanical, which have highlighted the importance of knowing not only the biological characteristics of different vegatales species but also other factors such as the weather.
