Sunday 30 January, anticipating the celebration of Arbor Day in the Valencia (31 January), the departments of Environment and Parks and Gardens have prepared planting 200 plants, an activity that is part of the proposals from "Family activities".
The green areas of the Aldebaran (Les Rotes, 8.700 square meters near the Port Dénia hotel), the Ginjoler, the Torrecremana park and the Raset beach (pending authorization due to costs), will be the points where the participants will be distributed.
From the morning 11, the Parks and Gardens staff will provide the material and explain to the public the basic techniques for planting 200 small plant units and shrubs and the 20 trees. Native species will be planted, which consume little water and are resistant to changes in temperature.
Complementing the celebration of this day, the Department of natural environment has also organized 12 didactic sessions for students in sixth grade.
